Off By Heart Shakespeare

Client: Silver River for BBC2

Role: Title sequence

The BBC’s first ever national Shakespeare recital contest: Nine teenage finalists won their place at this event by competing against their peers from schools across the UK. Jeremy Paxman presents as they go up against each other to see who can excite the panel of judges, including actor Samuel West and historian Simon Schama, with their delivery of some of Shakespeare’s most famous speeches.

“I really like Keith’s style, enthusiasm and adaptability. He can follow a brief but he can also come up with something that you haven’t thought about which is better. He has a great sense of humour (quite important I think) and a flair that isn’t just bullshit bravura but one that is backed up with detail and hard work. This means that the end result is often more complicated than it looks. He’s a pleasure to work with.”
